ANTHONY WAYNE — Perrysburg’s offense erupted on Monday and outlasted Anthony Wayne in a 22-14 Northern
Lakes League win.
Luke Borer — who tossed 4 2/3 innings — hammered four home runs and drove in a game-high 10 runs. Borer
becomes the 14th player in OHSAA history with at least four home runs in a game — tied with 11 others
for second most — and became the 22nd player with at least 10 RBIs.
Perrysburg, which had 21 hits, improved to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the NLL.
Nathan Ball became the 26th player in OHSAA history with six hits in a game to lead the Jackets, who
scored in every inning, and Devin Cavanaugh had three RBIs. Cameron Githens was a triple away from the
cycle and had two RBIs.

MILLBURY — Austin Fouty walked one batter on Monday, but that was his only miscue as he no-hit Fostoria
in a 3-0 Northern Buckeye Conference win.
Fouty struck out a game-high 10 batters and Dawson Delventhal blasted a three-run home run in the sixth
inning to lead the Flyers (12-0, 4-0 NBC). Luke Walsh had a pair of singles.

PEMBERVILLE — Andrew Arnston led Eastwood in both hits and RBIs, but none were bigger than his walk-off
hit in the eighth inning to propel the Eagles to a 7-6 Northern Buckeye Conference win on Monday.
Arnston drove in Gavin Slattman for the win racking up three hits and driving in three runs, as Eastwood
(7-4, 1-2), nabbed its first league win of the season.
Caleb Peters walked twice for the Eagles and Lake Boos pitched a game-high 4 1/3 innings.

Bowling Green 13, Springfield 3
HOLLAND — Micah Fry, Bryce Hoehner and Kyle Jackson all had three hits on Monday in leading Bowling Green
over Springfield 13-3 across five innings in Northern Lakes League action.
Hoehner and Jackson both drove in a pair of runs, while Luke Roberts knocked in a game-high three runs
for the Bobcats (9-0, 3-0 NLL).
Dillon Swalls did most of the work on the hill for BG, striking out six in three innings of work.
Springfield was held scoreless until scoring three runs in the final frame.

PEMBERVILLE — Eastwood opened Monday’s game with a nine-run first inning en route to a 12-0 five-inning
Northern Buckeye Conference win over Woodmore.
Carleigh Coffield belted a three-run home run to pace the Eagles’ offense. Eastwood improved to 12-1
overall and stayed perfect in the NBC at 4-0.
Ashley Hitchcock tossed a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in the circle and added a perfect 3-for-3
outing at the plate. Maddie Recker, Kaitlyn Luidhardt and Sam Rost each had two hits apiece.

Springfield 6, Bowling Green 2
HOLLAND — Lexi North tallied 10 strikeouts but Bowling Green’s bats were cold in falling 6-2 to
Springfield in Monday’s Northern Lakes League game.
North tossed a complete game for BG (8-4, 1-2 NLL), but the Bobcats had four errors to just five hits.

Springfield had 10 hits and scored in four of six innings.

MILLBURY — Lake repeatedly put the ball in play, but the Flyers struggled to muster many runs in falling
8-2 to Fostoria in Northern Buckeye Conference action on Monday.
Lake (7-5, 2-2 NBC) struck out just once and Kenzie Jackson led with a pair of hits. Mackenzie Mickens
struck out in the complete-game loss.

BOYS TENNIS
Wauseon 5, Bowling Green 0
WAUSEON — Bowling Green’s boys tennis team was swept by Wauseon 5-0 on Monday.
Dom Meszaros and Matthew Konrad were swept 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Luke
Konecny fell 6-1, 6-0 in No. 2 singles.
Aaron Lamb and Jack Devine lost No. 1 doubles 6-0, 6-3. Ty Gulgin and Hayden Belleville dropped No. 2
doubles 6-1, 6-0.
