Bryce Hoehner had three hits to lead Bowling Green to a 10-0 mercy-rule win over Cardinal Stritch on
Tuesday.
Isaac Elsasser and Austin Adams each drove in a pair of runs to pace the Bobcats (4-0), who pushed across
six first-inning runs to remain unbeaten.
Dillon Swalls had a game-high five strikeouts across four innings to earn the win for BG.

Lake 9, Northwood 0
MILLBURY — Lake remained undefeated and nabbed its second shutout of the season with a 9-0 win over
Northwood on Tuesday.
Jacob Boelkens and Noah Blank paced the Flyers (4-0) with two hits each.
Blank also struck out a game-high six batters on the mound for Lake, while Bronson Medley had five
punchouts across four scoreless innings.

Perrysburg 3, Bryan 1
BRYAN — Luke Borer had half of Perrysburg’s hits in leading the Yellow Jackets past Bryan with a 3-1 win
on Tuesday.
Borer had two hits and struck out a pair of batters across 1 2/3 innings for Perrysburg (4-2). Nathan
Ball had seven strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings and knocked in a run at the plate.
Both schools had just four hits apiece.

Elmwood 13, Carey 0
CAREY — Ryan Cox was perfect at the plate and powered Elmwood to a 13-0 five-inning win over Carey in
nonleague action on Tuesday.
Cox went 3-for-3 at the plate, belted a home run and knocked in a game-high three runs for the Royals
(2-1). Dylan Gerkens and Derrick Roseman each notched a pair of hits in both of their at-bats.
Zach Endicott fanned 10 batters to earn his first win of the season on the hill for Elmwood.

DEFIANCE — Rossford outhit Tinora on Tuesday, but the Bulldogs could not overcome six errors in a 14-4
six-inning loss.
Logan Reiter led all players with three hits for Rossford (1-2) and drove in a pair of runs. Tyler Dowell
and Shane Pitzen each had two of the team’s 11 hits.
Tinora, which added to a 5-4 lead with a five-run fifth inning and four-run sixth inning, scored 14 runs
on eight hits.

Findlay 9, Bowling Green 8
Bowling Green trailed 9-0 through four innings, and its late-game rally fell just short in falling 9-8 to
Findlay on Tuesday.
The Bobcats knocked across three runs in the fifth inning and mounted a five-run rally in the bottom of
the seventh.
Elena North had a pair of hits and led BG (4-2) with three RBIs. Lexi North had four strikeouts across
seven innings in the circle, but the defense struggled with eight errors.

Rossford 26, Ottawa Hills 2
ROSSFORD — Rossford opened Tuesday’s game with a 16-run first inning en route to a 26-2 shellacking of
Ottawa Hills in nonleague softball action.
Maddie Schimming knocked in a game-high three runs to lead the Bulldogs (3-0), who tallied 14 hits.
Rossford capitalized on seven Ottawa Hills errors.

PORT CLINTON — Tatum Miller had two extra-base hits and helped lead Lake to its first win of the season
with a 15-4 drubbing of Port Clinton on Tuesday.
Miller, who singled and doubled twice, drove in three runs to lead the Flyers (1-3). Aubrie Kunkelman and
Kenzie Jackson both singled and tripled while driving in a pair of runs apiece.
Jackson, despite allowing three earned runs, only allowed three hits and earned the win for Lake — which
scored 11 runs over the final two innings to break a 4-4 tie.

Otsego 9, Delta 2
TONTOGANY — After three scoreless innings to open the game, Otsego poured on nine runs across the next
three frames in beating Delta 9-2 on Tuesday.
Brynne Limes led the Knights (3-0) with three RBIs, while Shelbey Spurlock had two hits and two RBIs.
Limes and Spurlock combined for 10 strikeouts in the circle.
Spurlock’s four strikeouts made her the career strikeout leader at Otsego.
The Knights broke the scoreless tie with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

BOYS TENNIS
Southview 5, Bowling Green 0
SYLVANIA — Bowling Green’s boys tennis team was swept by Sylvania Southview 5-0 on Tuesday.
Mitchell Drumm and Luke Konecny combined to win the Bobcats’ lone set of the day with a 7-5 first-set win
in No. 1 doubles. The duo also narrowly lost 6-4 in the third set of the match.
BG’s Erik Schempf fell in No. 1 singles, Dom Meszaros lost in No. 2 singles and James Eddington was
topped in No.3 singles.
Hayden McCracken and Jack Devine dropped straight sets in No. 2 doubles for the Bobcats.
TRACK & FIELD
PEMBERVILLE — Eastwood’s boys and girls track teams swept its home triangular meet over Genoa and Swanton
on Tuesday.
The Eagles’ boys racked up 112 points, topping Genoa (59) and Swanton (4). The girls scored 96 for first
place, edging Swanton (47) and Genoa (32).
Eastwood’s boys won 12 of 17 events, conceding the other five to Genoa. Drew Bench won the 200-meter with
a 24.69 and also nabbed first place in the high jump with a 5-08 mark.
The Eagles’ girls won seven events to claim first place. Freshman Ava Kiefer won the shot put by more
than four feet with a 35-01.25 toss.
