Elena North racked up five hits during Monday’s doubleheader as Bowling Green swept Toledo Central
Catholic with a 14-0 five-inning win and a 9-3 victory.
North opened the day with her best swings. The senior went 4-for-4 in the opener, singling twice and
mashing a pair of home runs with three RBIs. Erin Spangenberg supported North in the first game tallying
three hits and finishing a home run shy of the cycle.
Freshman Kylie Foster paced the Bobcats (4-1) in the nightcap with three hits, including a double and a
pair of RBIs.
Lexi North, another freshman, stymied Central Catholic from the first pitch in the second game. The
5-foot-10 pitcher tossed seven innings, allowed three unearned runs on one hit and struck out 17 of 24
batters to earn the win.
BG has won four straight since losing its season opener.
