BG’s Webb earns youth foundation scholarship 
TOLEDO — Notre Dame Academy junior Julia Webb of Bowling Green has received a Monsignor Jerome E. Schmit
Youth Foundation Scholarship.
Webb is an International Baccalaureate student, as well as completes AP coursework. At NDA, she is a
member of the varsity basketball and soccer teams, treasurer of the Asian Club and is a member of the
Spanish Club, and S.E.A.L. Team.
She will receive $1,200.
This Youth Foundation was established in 1991 to perpetuate the work of Monsignor Jerome E. Schmit who
worked with the young people of the Toledo diocese. Through the Monsignor Jerome E. Schmit Youth
Foundation, scholarships are presented to eligible Metro-Toledo Catholic High School students who
demonstrate financial need, as well as keeping a solid grade point average.
Otsego mattress sale benefits athletics
TONTOGANY — Otsego Local Schools will hold its first mattress fundraiser on Saturday. Every purchase will
benefit athletics.
All mattress sizes will be available at up to 50 percent off retail, including firm, pillow top,
orthopedic, latex and gel memory foam sets. Name brands will include Simmons, Restonic, Southerland and
more. All mattresses will be new with factory warranty.
The event is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the high school.
Delivery will be available upon request and free layaway also will be available.
Perrysburg Schools participates in Child Find
PERRYSBURG — Perrysburg School District is looking for children not currently being served by the school
district for delays or difficulties in:
• Speech and language
• Motor skills
• Socio-emotional behavior
• Cognitive development
• Adaptive/self-help skills
Perrysburg Schools is interested in meeting the needs of children with disabilities.

Otsego gives DECA state competition results
TONTOGANY — Otsego High School will be sending eight students to DECA’s International Career Development
Conference in Orlando, Florida, in April.
Students earned a spot after competing at the state competition earlier this month in Columbus.
Connor Tumblin had a Top Ten finish in Principles of Finance and will be going to nationals in Orlando.
At state, he had the highest test score out of 40 other competitors in the Principles of Finance event.

Maddie Berry and Emily Atkinson placed fourth and earned a spot in Orlando, as did both School-Based
Enterprise groups with Jake Griffin, Sidney McCoy, Cameron Pollard, Ellie Roberts, and Janelle Moser.

Bella Mancuso, Addison Sadler and Kylie Barbour finished in the Top Ten at at state in Integrated
Marketing Campaign.
Blaine Kitchen on finishing Top Ten in Personal Financial Literacy and Brittany Dey and Ryan Dick for
finishing Top Ten in Creative Marketing.
Cameron Pollard and Jake Jake Griffin had a Top Ten finish in Financial Services Team.
