Four Falcons earn auto bids
Four different participants earned Mid-American Conference automatic bids for the Falcons in the outdoor
season’s opening meet on Saturday.
Aliyah Gustafson snagged auto bids in both the hammer throw and the discus. She finished second at the
meet with a 180-feet-9 in the hammer throw and also qualified with a 164-6 in the discus.
Kaila Butler racked up a personal best in the hammer throw, edging teammate Gustafson with a mark of
204-6. The number slots her behind three-time First-Team All-American Brooke Pleger in BGSU history.
Zaresha Neal jumped into fifth in the school history winning the shot put with a 50-10.25. The toss
earned the redshirt freshman an auto bid.
Daija Young, like Butler, notched a personal best finishing second in the discus with a 157-4 for an auto
