Lenten Lunch Series starts this week

The Bowling Green Ministerial Association and the combined churches of Bowling Green again present the
Lenten Lunch Series, this year entitled Tools for the Journey (toward Easter).
The series begins Wednesday with Elder and Sister Thurgood sharing the Practice of Prayer and Fasting at
First United Methodist Church, 1526 E Wooster St. Larry Thurgood is a retired dean and a missionary and
attends the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
All luncheons are held Wednesdays from noon-12:55 p.m. Each week they will be at a different church. The
simple, free lunch,will be prepared by the people of First United Methodist Church and served in their
fellowship hall this week.
The events are open to everyone, no reservation required. A free-will offering will be taken. This is an
opportunity for persons from area churches and the community to gather in unity, prayer, song and
discussion and get to know each other over lunch.
