Elmwood’s girls basketball team held Woodmore to five second-half points as it downed the Wildcats 38-30
to pull into a five-way tie for first place in the Northern Buckeye Conference.
The Royals trailed 25-18 at halftime and outscored Woodmore 10-2 in the third quarter to take a one-point
lead. They outscored Woodmore 10-3 in the fourth to improve to 14-5 overall and 8-4 in the NBC.
Eastwood, Lake, Otsego and Rossford are also 8-4 in the conference with two games to play.
Brooklyn Thrash had 12 points and 10 rebounds to pace Elmwood. Jill Hannah had 11 points.
Woodmore is 12-7, 6-6.

In Perrysburg, the Yellow Jackets took a first-half lead and held on the rest of the way in a Northern
Lakes League contest.
Perrysburg held Springfield to eight points in the first quarter and led 31-20 at halftime.
Kylie Griggs scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Yellow Jackets. Gracie Mitchell added 14 points and
Maddy Adamski had 10.
Perrysburg is 14-6 overall and 10-3 in the NLL. Springfield is 6-14, 4-9.
