TOLEDO — From engineering to inspiring tomorrow’s female scientists, February at Imagination Station is
full of science and activities for everyone.
Think Tank Workshop — Sew ‘n Stuff is set for Saturdays at 2 p.m. Design and create a stuffed animal to
take home! Learn the basics of sewing and pattern-making.
Tinkering Space — Electric Origami will be held all month. Origami is a lot of fun, but watch what
happens when you take it up a notch by adding copper tape, watch batteries and LED lights to make it
light up.
Popnology has been extended to April 28. Discover how pop culture and sci-fi inspired today’s technology
and science. Popnology tickets are $4 for non-members and free for members, and are sold separately from
admission to the science center.
Girl Power! will be held Feb. 9. Girls in grades three through eight are invited to explore Science,
Technology, Math, and Science fields all day at the center. Participants will get hands-on with
activities, ask challenging questions of STEM professionals, and have interesting discussions in
workshops that will get them thinking about the opportunities that await them when they grow up.
Mini Explorers Club will be held Feb. 12 and 16 from 2-3:30 p.m. This new program invites littlest
explorers (ages 3-5) to create, explore and learn about the wonderful world all around them through fun,
hands-on activities. For this month’s activity, become an engineer with your little one as you
investigate the houses engineered by the three little pigs and identify the problems with each design.

Imagination Station will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Presidents Day, Feb. 18.
Engineering Week is set for Feb. 18-24. It’s a week of creativity and construction for this architectural
challenge that uses only newspaper and tape. Visitors will work to build the tallest possible structure
while learning valuable engineering techniques.
