Eastwood schools closed today due to frozen pipe

PEMBERVILLE — A frozen pipe at Eastwood Middle School closed the campus today.
Superintendent Brent Welker said when the district replaced the hot water tank in the school, they
removed the old tank which provided warmth in the boiler room.
Removing that heat source caused the pipes to freeze but not burst, Welker said.
He said the district is going to make adjustments.
School will be in session Wednesday, pending the weather. The district has used two snow days.
