Four from Elmwood receive American FFA Degree

On Oct. 27, Elmwood FFA members Luke Hagemeyer, Noah Fouty, Kendra Stewart and Mitchell Wonderly received
the American FFA Degree.
In order to achieve the American FFA Degree, FFA members must be at least 12 months removed from high
school, must have completed numerous FFA and community service activities, and must have earned a
minimum of $10,000 from theirsupervised agricultural experience projects. Less than 1 percent of FFA
members receive this degree, the highest a member can earn.
Hagemeyer is the son of Jon and Karen Hagemeyer. His SAE was raising market beef cattle and raising grain
crops. He was chapter president his senior year. He attends Bowling Green State University, majoring in
construction management.
Fouty is the son of David and Laura Fouty. His SAE consisted of working on the Mesnard farm managing
several acres. He served as the 2016-17 chapter sentinel. He attends Ohio State ATI, majoring in crop
management.
Stewart is the daughter of Sandy and Jeff Stewart. Her SAE consisted of raising her market pigs for the
Wood County Fair. She also attends BGSU, majoring in education.
Wonderly is the son of Danny and Robyn Wonderly. His SAE consisted of landscape management and equipment
repair. He also restored a 1992 GMC truck. He attends Owens Community College, majoring in diesel
mechanics.
