Bowling Green High School is joining school districts stateside with a Military Appreciation Night on
Friday before the boys varsity basketball game.
All veterans and active military will be allowed into the game at no charge. No military ID is required.

The entire Northern Lakes League will be celebrating Military Appreciation Night at their respective
Friday basketball games.
Last year was the inaugural year for the Northern Lakes League to honor veterans at a basketball game on
Military Appreciation Night. Bowling Green was at an away game last year, so did not host the
ceremonies.
This is the first year BGHS is holding the event.
All veterans and military members will be asked to gather on the court prior to the game, which will
start around 7:15 p.m., following the girls varsity game which starts at 6.
The game is against Napoleon, and military members from that school and the surrounding communities are
invited.
The Madrigals will sing the “National Anthem” before the game and Boy Scouts will present the flag.
The Sundae Station is sponsoring the appreciation event and Estep and Associates is sponsoring the game.

Rossford High School will also hold a Military Appreciation Night on Friday.
The boys varsity game will be played at Owens Community College, where the high school is located this
year, against Elmwood.
Active military members and veterans may attend the game at no cost.
