Perrysburg Democratic club to host community issues meeting
PERRYSBURG — Perrysburg Area Democratic Club will host an issues-based meeting open to the community at
6:30 p.m. on Monday at Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave.
Four local speakers will share information and specific calls-to-action that involve volunteering and
advocacy to improve the following issues:
• Human Trafficking — Heather Paramore, activist and advocate for survivors of human trafficking
• Hunger — Amy Jo Holland and Gwen Andrix, Brown Bag Food Project
• Opiates — Jeremy Fofrich, author and clinical case manager, A Renewed Mind behavioral health
• Water quality — Earl Campbell, clean water advocate
"We’re hearing from so many folks who feel strongly about these issues and who want to learn more
about how they can get involved and make a difference," stated Rachel Zickar, club president.
"We are happy to welcome all members of our community so we can all work together to improve the
quality of life right here in northern Wood County."
BG Planning Commission discussing waiver
The Bowling Green Planning Commission will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the City Administrative Services
Building, 304 N. Church St.
On the agenda is a Subdivision Not Requiring a Plat at the west end of unimproved Birch Street and east
of Hillcrest Drive, with waiver requests. Linda Hanna is the petitioner.
Wood Co. disability board to meet
The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold a Program Committee Meeting on Monday.
The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Wood Lane School conference room. Call 419-352-5155 with
questions.
Human Relations Commission meets next week
The Human Relations Commission will meet in council chamber, 304 N. Church St., on May 5 at 8 a.m.
