Free screening of ‘Valentin’
PERRYSBURG — The April selection for Way Public Library’s Reel Art International and Art Film Series is
“Valentin.”
In this touching comedy/drama set in 1960s Buenos Aires, 8-year-old Valentin is raised by his poor
grandmother and dreams of becoming an astronaut. Valentin, who is delightful and funny, has been
abandoned by his mother and neglected by his father, who only uses him to attract new girlfriends.
Longing for a real family, Valentin takes matters into his own hands. Youthfully innocent one moment and
wise beyond his years the next, Valentin sets out to make sense of his family life and the adults who
have made a mess of it.
Showtime is at 7 p.m. on Friday at the library, 101 E. Indiana Ave. Admission is free and open to the
public without registration. Adults only/In Spanish with English subtitles/1hr 26min
