Wood County seniors are invited to participate in the research project “Aging in Place to Enable Optimal
Aging in Community: A Need Assessment Among Older Adults in Wood County, Ohio.”
This study looks at how seniors define aging in place, what are the needs and challenges to live at home
while growing older, quality of life, and general information. The study aims to better understand what
needs and challenges exist when living at home and develop programs and resources to help older adults
age optimally in place.
Participation consists of completing a questionnaire and attending one 50-minute focus group. Organizers
are also willing to meet people individually depending upon personal preferences or physical needs.
Participation in this study is completely voluntary. All focus groups will start at 12:45 p.m. and be
completed by 2:15 p.m.
Organizers ask those who wish to participate to contact their senior center location to register.
Participants must sign an informed consent form before joining the group. For information, contact
