To the Editor:
I remember in history class at my local high school about the “Red Scare” led by then-Wisconsin Sen. Joe
McCarthy. He “outed” many people like Gen. George Marshall and others until he was censured by the U.S.
Senate in 1954.
Now, I see the liberals in Washington trying to destroy President Trump by saying that Russia hacked the
election. They want a grand-scale hearing like Watergate in the ’70s.
I’m not with you this time. Now, I am fed up with the hypocrisy of the almighty press. They had golden
opportunities to take down the Clintons, who I think committed more heinous crimes than Nixon ever did.

The almighty press has no accountability to anyone but to liberals. They make themselves out to be
victims and are blameless.
But I know better. These are telltale traits of arrogance, yet they think everyone else who disagrees
with them is arrogant.
My conclusion is a biblical passage that says “He who exalts himself will be humbled.” I don’t see any
humility in the almighty press or the liberals.
