National speaker and author of “And Now I Choose,” Tam Hodge will be the featured speaker at Heartbeat of
Toledo’s annual fund-raising dinners, “Forever in My Heart.” The dinners will be offered on two nights:
April 5 and 6 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 6165 Levis Commons Boulevard, in Perrysburg. Doors open at 6
p.m. with dinner at 6:30. The deadline for reservations is March 31.
Hodge had two abortions and a life filled with abuse before a new friend invited her to join him at
church. According to Hodge, that was the beginning of a new life. Today she is an ambassador for Save
the Storks and the author of three books. She is featured on numerous podcasts and has been the subject
of two documentaries.
Save the Storks is a national organization that assists pregnancy centers in getting mobile medical
women’s centers that offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and options counseling. Heartbeat of Toledo
recently acquired a “Stork Bus,” which has been on the road since January.
Reservations can be made online by visiting www.heartbeatoftoledo.org or by calling Heartbeat at

Heartbeat is a pregnancy help center whose mission is to be the best source of information and support to
women facing pregnancies and to help moms, dads and babies in need. Heartbeat provides free pregnancy
tests and ultrasounds as well as the opportunity to earn free baby items by completing prenatal and
parenting classes.
In addition to its mobile women’s center, Heartbeat has two locations: 4041 W. Sylvania Ave. across from
Franklin Park Mall, as well as a satellite office located at 101 Main St. in East Toledo.
“Heartbeat does not charge for any of its services,” said Pat Todak, executive director. “Our annual
fundraising dinners raise much of our funding to keep operating each year.”
