Gleaners to hold soup get-together
Portage Center Arbor #524 will be having its annual soup get together at Center Township Hall on the
corner of Carter and Bowling Green roads Saturday.  
They will be serving oyster vegetable soup and chili. Those attending are asked to bring their own table
service items. Also if possible, bring some type of salad to share.
It will start at 6 p.m.  Coffee, water and soup will be furnished by the arbor.
This activity will be community volunteer recognition as the organization will be talking about and
recognizing three people who have volunteered to help other originations or people in the area. Members
will also talk about the Caring Hands activity.
The public is invited to join in on the fun and the fellowship.
Soil and water district sets meetings
For the year 2017, the Wood Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will meet the third
Friday of each month at 8 a.m. at the district office. All meetings are open to the public and are held
at the Wood SWCD Office, located at 1616 East Wooster Street, Suite 32, Bowling Green.
