Volunteers sought for BG’s car show in July

The Classics on Main Car Show, scheduled for July 11, fills Main Street and several parking lots in
downtown Bowling Green with almost every type of car, from the earliest model to the latest, and
requires nearly 150 volunteers to operate.
More than 350 cars were on exhibit last year, including Model T’s, muscle cars and alternative fuel
vehicles. The show draws thousands of visitors to Bowling Green.
The Downtown BG organization and its all-volunteer car show committee are seeking help from auto
enthusiasts to put on one of the largest car shows in the region. Volunteer jobs range from hanging
signs to parking cars, guarding entrances and running errands. The earliest shifts start at about 6 a.m.
and the latest finish about 6 p.m.
Volunteer shifts are generally two or three hours long, so volunteers will also have plenty of time to
enjoy the free show.
Interested individuals and groups should call 419-354-4332 or email [email protected] to find out
more, or to volunteer for the event.
