A Bradner man was sentenced to a suspended sentence of 180 days in jail and must register as a Tier I sex
offender related to a 10-year-old incident involving a juvenile.
Michael Buckingham, 31, appeared last week in the courtroom of Judge Reeve Kelsey.
Buckingham had originally been indicted on one count of rape, and one count of gross sexual imposition
involving a juvenile who would have been between the ages of 6 and 7 at the time of the incident,
alleged to have occurred between Jan. 1, 2004, and June 1, 2005.
Buckingham pleaded to an amended count of criminal child enticement with sexual motivation, a
first-degree misdemeanor, and the GSI count was dismissed.
Buckingham was additionally placed on community control for two years.
