SPRINGBORO, Ohio (AP) — A southwest Ohio woman has been charged with domestic violence and assault after
police say she beat her 72-year-old mother.
Prosecutors say 35-year-old Carrie Underwood of Springboro beat her mother unconscious with her hands,
feet and head Monday.
Underwood is being held in the Warren County jail on $150,000 bond. She’s been charged with single counts
of felonious assault and domestic violence.
No attorney is listed for Underwood. She is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Local media report Underwood’s mother is in serious but stable condition at an area hospital.
