TOLEDO – Bass Sam Ramey has canceled his appearance in the Toledo Opera’s production of
"Susannah."
Baritone Mark Delavan will assume the role of Elder Blitch. Delavan has performed leading roles with San
Francisco Opera and the Lyric Opera of Chicago and performed as Wotan in Wagner’s "Der Ring des
Nibelungen" at the Metropolitan Opera and Deutsche Oper Berlin.
The Carlisle Floyd’s opera will be staged Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. in the Valentine
Theatre.
Jennifer Goode-Cooper, of the Bowling Green State University faculty, will sing the title role. Sean
Cooper, also of the BGSU faculty, is directing.
