Lake teachers shouldn’t have to arm themselves

To the Editor:
Response to Lake Board Of Education meeting on Saturday guns into Lake Local School District.
We all have choices to make, just wish it was not a teacher’s choice to have to make in this situation.
They went to college to be an educator for our children; others went to college to be law officials and
protectors of our children and our teachers and administrators.
The Lake Board should be discussing at their board meetings education and financing that is needed to
support that education for the teachers that spent their hard earned dollars to get that education to
teach our children to grow up to be great citizens.
Gun control, that belongs down the road at the Lake Township building with the police chief and his
officers.
One of my memories in school was by my teacher Mr. Krugh who would walk in each morning and Say
"Great Day To Be" and we would have to shout out "Alive" That is what our teachers
need to focus on being alive and ready to learn – not if they will have to pull out a gun that day.
