WSOS Planning and Development Coordinator Kerrie Carte will serve on the National Skills Coalition’s
Leadership Council at the 2015 National Skills Coalition Skills Summit, Feb. 8-10, in Washington, D.C.

Carte, a resident of Oak Harbor, serves on the Ohio Workforce Coalition, the Board of Directors of the
Ohio Economic Development Association, and the Steering Committee of the Advocates for Ohio’s Future.
This will be her third term representing Ohio on the council.
The NSC organizes broad-based coalitions seeking to raise the skills of America’s workers across a range
of industries. The leadership council is comprised of a cross-section of members and serves as the
programmatic advisory body to NSC staff and Board of Directors.
Carte will also be a presenter at the summit, which brings together hundreds of stakeholders from across
the country to learn about key funding and policy issues like the new Workforce Investment Opportunity
Act implementation, other programs as well as effective communication and advocacy tactics.
