To the Editor:
The coaching staff of the Bowling Green High School Track & Field and Cross Country Teams and the
Bobcat Athletic Booster Club would like to thank all involved in making our spaghetti dinner fundraiser
on December 18th a huge success. The success of this fundraiser would not have been possible without a
coordinated effort of many entities and individuals. A big thank you to Lisa Zychowicz of Modern Woodmen
of America. Modern Woodmen was the main sponsor of this event and provided a matching donation of
$2,500. Our second sponsor was Pagliai’s Pizza – Thanks to George Nicholson for your hard work and
patience in the kitchen with the athletes and for providing a delicious meal for our supporters. Thanks
to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for providing the location and to The Copy Shop and the Sentinel Tribune
for helping us spread the word for this event. Thanks to JD’s Drive Thru and Carryout, Pepsi Cola
Bottling Company, Kroger, Wal-Mart, and Meijer for making donations towards the dinner. Most of all,
thank you to all who supported this event through the purchasing of tickets and coming out on the 18th
for the dinner. Approximately 500 people enjoyed a meal that evening and many others donated money to
this effort. Due to the success of the fundraiser the teams will now be able to move forward with the
purchasing of needed items for the upcoming seasons. The Bowling Green Athletic Booster Club has
undergone a difficult year and we want to thank the Bowling Green community for continuing to support
all Bowling Green Athletes through this dedicated group. The coaches of the 23 sports at BGHS could not
be successful without the continued support of this giving community!
