Kyrie Henline (left), 7, and Casen Henline, 5, test out the ice at a newly created ice rink near
Pemberville Elementary. The tennis courts next to the village pool on College Avenue in Pemberville have
been turned into a skating rink for the public. The 50- by 100-foot ice rink was worked on by John
Lockhart, with donations from the village and North Branch Nursery. Lights have been put up for night
skating. The last time the tennis courts were turned into a skating rink was in 1995, according to Denny
Henline. Two-hour reservations are available for private parties by calling 419-287-4750.
