Perry Township Trustees meet
Perry Township Trustees will hold their first meeting of the new year on Monday.
This is a change from the usual meeting on the first Tuesday. The meeting starts at 3:15 p.m. at  the
West Millgrove/Perry Township fire station.
BGPD investigate sexual assault
Bowling Green Police are investigating the report of a sexual assault made early on New Year’s Day.
The incident was reported at 3 a.m. in the 300 block of North Prospect Street.
The alleged assault involving a female victim and a male subject who was known to her.
Crash in construction zone hurts one
STONY RIDGE – One woman was injured in a crash on U.S. 20, west of Rocky Road Tuesday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 9:12 a.m. Kathryn Welch, Sandusky, and Michael Jay,
Fremont, were westbound on Route 20 in a construction zone.
Welch reportedly failed to stop for a stop sign used by a flagger in the construction area, and after
both Welch and Jay traveled past the sign, Welch reportedly stopped quickly in the roadway and was
struck from behind by Jay.
Welch sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, by Troy
Township EMS. She was cited for a stop sign violation.
Jay was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
Tontogany Council sets 2015 schedule
TONTOGANY — Tontogany Village Council has set its first 2015 meeting for Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Village
Hall.
All subsequent meetings are scheduled for the first and third Mondays of each month at 7 p.m., except the
first Monday in September, which is cancelled due to Labor Day.
