Police had their hands full dealing with rowdy New Year’s revelers on New Year’s Day.
A total of five citations were issued following reports of fights in the city, including in the downtown
and on South Main Street.
A verbal warning for disorderly conduct was issued at the Corner Grill on North Main Street, and two
altercations were also reported at Taco Bell on East Wooster Street, but the subjects fled prior to
police arrival.
A fight between a male and female at Poe and Wintergarden roads was also reported around 7 a.m., but no
charges were issued.
