Crashes close part of snowy I-90 east of Cleveland

PAINESVILLE, Ohio (AP) — State troopers in northeast Ohiosay multiple crashes involving up to 40
vehicles have shut down theeastbound lanes of Interstate 90 east of Cleveland.The accidentshave closed an
11-mile stretch of I-90 near the city of Painesville.That’s about 30 miles east of downtown
Cleveland.Troopers say there aren’t any serious injuries in the crashes that began before noon.TheState
Highway Patrol says it expects the eastbound lanes will remainclosed through much of Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers say snow and ice aremaking driving conditions hazardous in that area of Lake County.Interstate 90
