ONTARIO, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in north-central Ohio havearrested a man suspected of
intentionally setting a fire in a kitchenwhile his children were inside a home.The Mansfield News

41-year-old man was arrested Monday in Ontario, about 60miles northeast of Columbus. The warrants
included attempted aggravatedmurder and other charges.Mansfield police Capt. Ken Coontz saysthe suspect
in the Monday morning fire had refused to cooperate withauthorities and fled the scene. Coontz says the
fire occurred while theman was watching his children, ages 9 and 13, while their mother wasaway.The
home’s owner, who is not the mother, says someone piled newspapers on the stove and turned on
burners.She says the children escaped safely after a smoke alarm woke the older child.___Information
