COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State University has refunded $1million to 20,000 summer school
students after imposing a fee increasethat officials had promised wouldn’t happen.The Columbus
Dispatchreports (http://bit.ly/13qvzSV) that a graduate student first noticedthat students had been
overcharged and brought it to the attention ofstudent government leaders. Though tuition remained the same,
fees hadjumped $81 — to $323 — for the summer semester.The universitypledged that tuition and fees would not
increase when the institutionmoved from quarters to semesters last year. It kept the promise for thefirst
two semesters under the new calendar — but mistakenly increasedfees for summer.A university spokesman said
students receivedrefunds of up to $81 as a result of the error. Student governmentnegotiated the rebates for
