Gambling probe targets Internet cafes in Ohio

MARYSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities investigating gamblingin Ohio have served search warrants at
numerous Internet cafes and otherlocations in seven counties in central and southwest parts of
thestate.Marysville police in Union County say authorities executedsearch warrants at 10 locations Thursday
as part of a nearly yearlonginvestigation by a multi-agency task force. Police say sweepstakes andInternet
cafe locations, a bank, a motel and a home were searched. Thesearches were conducted in Union, Shelby,
Hardin, Butler, Montgomery,Franklin and Logan counties.Police say the task force has beeninvestigating
allegations of Ohio gambling law violations andallegations of illegal bingo and money laundering.Police said
in arelease they expected to seize multiple gambling machines, as well asfinancial and other records named
