Fatal crashes down in countyLIME CITY – Fatal crashes in Wood County are down from the same period
last year.Wood County Safe Communities reports that there have been a total of nine fatal accidents, down
from 13 in 2012.The group also has released a comparison of past Fourth of July holiday weekend statistics.
In 2011 there were 60 motor vehicle crashes, with one involving alcohol between 8 p.m. and 3:59 a.m.
involving a male driver. In 2012 there were a total of 67 motor vehicle crashes, with three involving

a cruise-in classic car, truck and Corvette show on July 20.The day will start with 8 a.m. registration.
There is no entry fee. Voting will end at 1 p.m. with awards given out at 2 p.m. A 50/50 raffle also will be
offered.Proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.Car show participants may golf
during or following the show. Call the pro shop at (419) 352-3100 ext. 2 to set up a tee time.The country
club is located at 923 Fairview Ave.Traffic blitz in Perrysburg Twp.LIME CITY – Perrysburg Township Police
have announced a traffic blitz for July.Officers will target U.S. 20, Ohio 25, Ohio 795, Ohio 65, and Oregon
Road through July 27.Township officers will be working additional hours looking for impaired drivers,
enforcing traffic laws and monitoring speed and seat belt violations throughout the township.The blitz is
funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Service/Governor’s Highway Safety Office in conjunction
