Please tell me the taxpayers are not paying this Harley Ellis Devereanux architecture firm any of
our tax money for the $26 million dollar folly report that should not be unveiled – leave it on the shelf!
This is about the most unrealistic, untimely, proposal since the failed Rossford amphitheater. Just about
everything proposed has been soundly criticized over the last number of years. The biker Wabash Cannonball
Goons from outside Perrysburg attended many City council meeting before when they wanted to run a 10′ wide
asphalt "eye sore" through the middle of our inner city running pass Zoar Church. Yes, years ago
the City had an ice rink and it was at Orleans Park and maintained by the fire department at no added cost
to taxpayers. The person who said our statue block the view of the river needs to go get their eyes tested
or change meds. This is a reminder there is no "grant money fairy" as all grants are paid by
taxpayers.It was mentioned some of the money could come from the general fund and if we have so much extra
money – work a little harder on our core services like the good ole’ days when we had two twig pickups. Next
thing the City will want is an amusement park like Opal Covey plans when she becomes Mayor of Toledo – maybe
she can also be Mayor of Happysburg! Please don’t put us through another waste of citizen’s time combating
