explosive materials in a home where ablast shook the neighborhood, shattered windows and seriously
injured aman.Akron police say 34-year-old Kevin Skubic was badly hurt whena box of homemade fireworks he
was carrying to his truck suddenlydetonated late Monday. Officials estimated the fireworks that went
upwere equivalent to a quarter stick of dynamite.The blast shattered front windows at the home where it
happened and some in the three-story house next door.Policesaid they found scales, fuses, funnels,
nitrates and powder inside thehome. A 65-year-old man who lives there was charged with
manufacturingexplosives and other violations. Neighbors say he put on a display everyFourth of
