Security could be increased at Ohio Statehouse

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Security could get a little tighter at the Ohio Statehouse in
Columbus.TheCapitol Square Review and Advisory Board wants to spend close to $2million to purchase
hand-held metal detection wands, cameras and otherequipment to protect the building’s entrances.The
Statehousecurrently leaves its doors open during normal business hours, allowingpeople to freely enter
and leave under the watch of the State HighwayPatrol.The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/11sqXLm ) reports that recommendations
call for only four entrances to be openduring regular business hours. Each would be staffed with state
troopersusing metal detection wands and include security cameras and otherequipment.Actual procedures
