COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A state Supreme Court task forceanalyzing the effectiveness of Ohio’s
capital punishment law plans toreconvene as it tries to conclude its work this year.Thecommittee meeting
Thursday in Columbus has examined everything fromracial bias in death penalty cases to ways to improve the
legalrepresentation of capital defendants.Chairman James Brogan, aretired appeals court judge, has said he
expects two reports from thecommittee, one from a majority backing recommendations, the other from aminority
of members with different views.Ohio Supreme CourtChief Justice Maureen O’Connor convened the task force
while making itclear it won’t debate whether the state should have the death penalty.The group includes
