To the Editor: BG administrators offer reasons for levy

0

Would you vote for the Bowling Green School levy if:Salary schedules were unchanged for the past 3
years?Number of administrators were reduced by 20 percent?Number of teachers were reduced by 1
percent?Number of support staff were reduced by 12 percent?Number of elementary buildings were reduced by 50
percent?Supply budgets were reduced by 30 percent?Annual state revenue were reduced by $1.1 million? All of
the above have taken place and we will continue to be fiscally responsible.More importantly, we regret the
discord that the levy has created in our community, but greatly appreciate the positive support so many of
you have provided. While our students do not understand the message of the opposition, they continue to
excel in every aspect of their education. We could not be more proud of our wonderful students and
hard-working staff in the Bowling Green Schools. Please support the Bowling Green School Levy on May 7.Amy
