TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A northwest Ohio zoo is asking thepublic to help choose names for twin
polar bears that were born inNovember and are expected to go on display in May.The Toledo Zoohas
narrowed the options to three names for each cub, one male and onefemale. People can vote for their
favorites through the zoo’s webpagefor the bears.One option for the female cub is Holly, afterprominent
polar bear veterinarian Holly Reed. The other choices are theInuit words Suka (SOO’-kah), meaning
"fast," or Tooteqa (TOO’-teh-gah),meaning "wise goddess."The choices for the male
cub are the Inuitwords Sakari (sah-KAH’-ree), for "sweet," Desna (DEHZ’-nah),
