Helen Marie (Stahl) Hoadley, 96, of Findlay, and formerly of Van Buren, passed away at 3:45
p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Fox Run Manor, Findlay.She was born on July 26, 1916 to the late Willis
E. and Prudence Mae (Updegraff) Stahl in Carey, OH. On August 1, 1937 she married Lawrence Frick Hoadley
at Salem Methodist Church, and he survives.She is also survived by one son, Larry (Leslie) Hoadley of
Findlay; one sister, Virginia (Vernet) Damon of Findlay; seven grandchildren: Shelly (Tom) Hindall of
Findlay, Kristin Junge of Mason, OH, Shanon Hoadley of Cincinnati, OH, Todd (Angela) Hoadley of Olmsted
Falls, OH, Robyn Hoadley of Findlay, Dawn (Brian) Geller of Lindsey, OH, and Ian (Jennifer) Hoadley of
Findlay; and 12 great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by one son, Lynne W. Hoadley, one
brother, Harold Stahl and one sister, Jane Hoff.Helen was a 1934 graduate of Van Buren High School and
was a member of the Van Buren Presbyterian Church, where she served as Elder, Deacon, and was part of
the Women’s Organization for many years.Helen was also in a Chat and Play pinochle group for over 50
years, Pythian Sisters of Ohio, where she served as District Deputy, and Order of the Eastern Star
Morris Chapter in North Baltimore. Helen enjoyed watching and singing along with the Gaither Vocal
Group, watching basketball, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Visitation
will be from 12 to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay with
funeral services at 1 p.m. Rev. Dr. James Friedmeyer will officiate and burial will follow in Bechtel
Cemetery, Van Buren, OH.Memorial contributions may be made to the Van Buren Presbyterian Church and/or
