LUCKEY – The auxiliary’s March 6 meeting was opened by President Rosemarie Heilman, with 13
members present. Irene Michel led with prayer.The Children & Youth chairperson is sending two
monetary gifts to the Eastwood After Prom Committee, to be used as prizes. Ellen Bechstein, Ruth Peters,
Shirley and Joel Davis were thanked for serving coffee at the Toledo VA Clinic.Poppy Open House at the
Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky will be April 7.Heilman and Shirley Davis reported points of interest
from the Department Spring Conference at Adams Township. All reports must be postmarked by May 1 and
mailed to the chairman.A Poppy Workshop is being held at Troy-Webster Post on March 27 at 10 a.m. Legion
and auxiliary members are invited to help make poppy bouquets to be placed on the graves of veterans at
local cemeteries on Memorial Day. A potluck lunch will be served at noon.Summer District Convention is
June 8 at Swanton. Department Convention will be June 28-30 in Toledo.The next unit meeting will be held
April 3 at 7:30 p.m. District President Joyce Schmeltz will be present.
