To the Editor: Wants elected officials to give rationale for votes

0

Thank you for printing the letter from Jim Litwin. Thank you, Jim, for writing that letter. It is
of paramount importance that constituents have information regarding how our elected officials vote. But we,
the voters, also deserve the right to know the basis for yea or nay votes. Why, senator; why did you,
representative, vote yes or no.If you are representing me, in the House or the Senate, don’t you feel the
responsibility to let me know your reasoning behind that vote. I promise, I will not always agree with you,
but then, I will not always disagree either. Please Senator Brown, Senator Portman and Representative Latta
keep your constituents informed about legislation and your vote complete with the rationale for your
vote.Jean RomansBowling Green
