Dozen charged in Northwood prostitution ring

NORTHWOOD – A dozen people were arrested in a prostitution sting at America’s Best Value Inn and
Suites in the 2000 block of Oregon Road on Tuesday.The undercover operation was a joint effort among
Northwood Police, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification, and the FBI
Human Trafficking Task Force.According to a press release, “these activities were in response to known
prostitution activity in the area along with Toledo being a major site for underage prostitution. These
operations included males and females responding to the hotel and meeting with undercover police operatives.
These males and females then solicited the operatives for sexual acts and were arrested.”The individuals
were charged with 17 assorted crimes, and some were additionally arrested on outstanding arrest warrants
from neighboring jurisdictions.A total of $1,028 was recovered in the operation, along with crack cocaine,
prescription medication, and marijuana. No underage individuals were encountered during the assignment.The
charged individuals include Amanda Bigelow, Toledo, soliciting prostitution, drug abuse; Tiffany Dukett,
Toledo, soliciting prostitution, drug abuse; Khaled Elabyad, Sylvania, soliciting prostitution; Phil Farina,
Toledo, soliciting prostitution; Tania Parker, Toledo, soliciting prostitution; Tai-Anne Parker, Toledo,
complicity to soliciting, drug abuse; Christopher Robosky, Findlay, soliciting prostitution; Jamie
Slaughter, Toledo, soliciting prostitution; Sandra Slaughter, Toledo, drug abuse and drug paraphernalia;
Duane Stroud, Toledo, soliciting prostitution, drug abuse; Marcus Williams, Fremont, soliciting
prostitution; and Charles Yager, Maumee, soliciting prostitution.All of the crimes were third or fourth
degree misdemeanors.
