Maynard "Max" Allen Chambers, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012, at the Samaritan Memorial
Hospital in Macon, MO.
Max was born on January 4, 1936, in Bowling Green, OH, the son of Kenneth and Ruth (Hartsough) Chambers.
He was united in marriage to Shirley Szakovits on December 28, 1957, in Fremont, OH.
Max was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Macon and enjoyed collecting Oliver Toy
Tractors and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home; two sons, Mark Chambers and wife Jeanie of Macon, Mike
Chambers and wife Jodi of Macon; six grandchildren, Matthew Chambers of Tuscan, AZ, Joshua, Annie,
Allie, Lauren, and Joey Chambers, all of Macon; two brothers, Robert Chambers of Wayne, OH, Ed Chambers
and wife Jeannie of Woodson, IL; one sister, Faye Whetsel and husband Darrell of Fostoria, OH; one
sister-in-law, Marylin Chambers of Jerry City, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Max was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Walter Chambers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hutton & McElwain
Funeral Home in Macon, with a Prayer Service starting at 4:45 p.m. A private Mass of Christian Burial
will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Fremont, OH.
Memorials can be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, MDA, or the Myasthenia Gravis
Foundation of America.
