Drugs, alcohol likely not involved in deadly Ohio crash

BELLBROOK, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in southwest Ohio say
they don’t think drugs or alcohol played a role in a weekend crash that
killed three high school students and injured three others.
Family
members of the Bellbrook High School students told The Dayton Daily
News (http://bit.ly/SPYa2g) that the teens were coming back from picking
up one of their classmates from a party early Sunday.
Shortly
afterward, the truck left the road and crashed into a tree, killing
14-year-old Julianna Hawk, 17-year-old Sophie Kerrigan and 16-year-old
Skylar Kooken. The other three students in the Dodge extended-cab pickup
were injured, with one still in serious condition Monday.
The
force of the collision uprooted the full-grown tree and buckled and
mangled the truck. The accident remains under investigation.
