Three charged as result of Oct. 14 BG fight that injured two

Bowling Green police have charged three people and charges are pending against a fourth person following
investigation of a large fight Oct. 14 in the vicinity of 1474 Brookwood Drive.
Police announced the charges Friday. All of those facing charges are members of the Bowling Green State
University football team.
Arriving at the scene officers found a subject, later identified as Ivory
H. Brooks III, of 1471 Scott Hamilton Blvd., lying unconscious. Brooks was treated at the scene and
transported by Bowling Green Fire Division to Wood County
Hospital, and was later transported via air ambulance to St. Vincent’s
Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Brooks’ roommate, Norman L. Jackson Jr., 21, later went to Wood County
Hospital where he was treated and released for
injuries sustained in the incident.
Charged are:
• Kendall Odell
Montgomery, 20, of 1474 Brookwood Drive, assault
and violation of nuisance party regulations. He is to appear Wednesday in Bowling Green Municipal Court
and has been released on his own recognizance. Montgomery served a one-game suspension, missing last
weekend’s game against Eastern Michigan, and has been reinstated, according to Jason Knavel, BGSU’s
assistant athletic director for communications.
• Jude Adjei-Barimah, 20, of
1474 Brookwood Drive, with violation of nuisance party regulations. His court date is Wednesday and he
has been released OR.
• Deejay Ian White, of 1474 Brookwood Drive, with violation of nuisance party regulations. His court date
is Wednesday and he has been released OR.
A charge of violating nuisance party regulations is pending against Mark Mays, 21,
of 1474 Brookwood Drive.
Knavel said Adjei-Barimah, White and Mays have all served internal discipline under teams rules.
The nuisance party violations are civil citations.
