I am writing to encourage the residents of Wood County to support Joel Kuhlman in his effort to retain
his seat on the Wood County Board of Commissioners. I believe that Joel has much to offer the people of
Wood County.
His diverse work experience that includes both time spent on the farm and in manufacturing, as well as
his experience as a private sector attorney provide him a unique perspective and understanding of the
challenges facing all Wood County residents. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve with
Joel during his time spent as a member of Bowling Green City Council.
I was able to observe first hand Joel’s ability to confront the difficult budget issues that continue to
challenge local elected officials. During this time, Joel displayed the ability to balance the necessity
of conservative management of taxpayer funds with the need to continue to deliver quality services to
residents, and to then make responsible funding decisions.
Joel has the vision necessary to continue to move Wood County forward. He is committed to investment in
county infrastructure. He is a strong supporter of continued economic development aimed at not only the
retention of local jobs, but also of efforts to attract additional good paying jobs to the county.
I feel strongly that the sum of Joel’s experience, combined with his personal integrity and demonstrated
leadership abilities merit his re-election to this important position.
I urge all County residents to join me in voting for Joel Kuhlman on November 6.
