Bids will be received by the City of Bowling Green at the office of the
Municipal Administrator, located in the City Administrative Services

2012 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work will consist of carpentry, roofing, glazing, masonry repairs,
and painting. The estimate of probable cost for this project is
$83,500.00. Bidders shall not be responsible for paying sales taxes on
materials incorporated into the structure.
The contract documents
including plans and specifications are on file at the office of the City

cashier’s check or letter of credit in favor of the City of Bowling
Green, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. If the contract is
awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a one hundred
percent (100%) payment and performance bond.
Bidders shall submit with
their bid the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section
5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal
property taxes in Wood County, Ohio.
The successful bidder will be
required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the
Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio in accordance
with all provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act of the State of Ohio, ORC
Sections 4115.03 and 4115.16 and related requirements.
Bids received
after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a
satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any
irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. In
no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are
made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to
award the contract.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of
sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of
bids.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012, 2:00
pm at the project site.
Discrimination and Intimidation
1. The Prohibitions against discrimination and intimidation and the
provisions as to the forfeitures to be applied in the event of violation
of Contract terms regarding same, as contained in Sections 153.59 and
153.60 of the Ohio Revised Code shall apply to this Contract.
2. The Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant

for employment because of the categories defined in Chapter 39 of the
Codified Ordinances of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio. The Successful

NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED Bids for the furnishing of the necessary materials
and construction of the: City of Bowling Green Renovations
to
Needle Hall Bowling Green,
Ohio
Bids will be received by the City of Bowling Green at the office of the
Municipal Administrator, located in the City Administrative Services
Building located at 304 N. Church Street until 2:00 p.m. on July 11,
2012 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work will consist of carpentry, roofing, glazing, masonry repairs,
and painting. The estimate of probable cost for this project is
$83,500.00. Bidders shall not be responsible for paying sales taxes on
materials incorporated into the structure.
The contract documents
including plans and specifications are on file at the office of the City
Engineer, City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church Street,
Bowling Green, OH. A set may be obtained by depositing $50.00. Checks shall be made payable to the City
of Bowling Green, Ohio. The full amount of the deposit for the first set of documents obtained will be
refunded to each bona fide bidder or vendor who returns the completed documents in good condition within

ten (10) days after the opening of the bids. The full amount of the
deposit will be returned to each non-bidder who returns the documents in
good condition prior to the bidding date.
Additional copies (in
excess of one) of the Contract Documents may be purchased at $50.00. No refund will be allowed for the
return of said additional copies. Should a bidder prefer to receive bid documents via UPS/FED EX,
arrangements must be made by that bidder for all necessary items such
as, but not limited to, mailers, envelopes, etc. to be delivered to the
City of Bowling Green with all pertinent mailing information. Otherwise,
bid packets will be mailed by USPS.
All bids must be signed and
submitted on copies or originals of the blanks which are bound in the
contract documents. Bids must state the prices in the blanks provided
and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked – Renovations to Needle Hall
and addressed to the City of Bowling Green, Attn: Municipal
Administrator, 304 N. Church Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
The bid
guaranty may be of two forms:
1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract
Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid
does NOT have to appear on this form.)
2. A certified check,
cashier’s check or letter of credit in favor of the City of Bowling
Green, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. If the contract is
awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a one hundred
percent (100%) payment and performance bond.
Bidders shall submit with
their bid the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section
5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal
property taxes in Wood County, Ohio.
The successful bidder will be
required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the
Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio in accordance
with all provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act of the State of Ohio, ORC
Sections 4115.03 and 4115.16 and related requirements.
Bids received
after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a
satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any
irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. In
no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are
made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to
award the contract.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of
sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of
bids.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012, 2:00
pm at the project site.
Discrimination and Intimidation
1. The Prohibitions against discrimination and intimidation and the
provisions as to the forfeitures to be applied in the event of violation
of Contract terms regarding same, as contained in Sections 153.59 and
153.60 of the Ohio Revised Code shall apply to this Contract.
2. The Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant

for employment because of the categories defined in Chapter 39 of the
Codified Ordinances of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio. The Successful
Bidder will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants for
employment, are considered for employment and that employees are treated
during employment, without regard to the categories defined in Chapter
39 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio, which
are incorporated herein by reference.
