Woodworkers to meet Tuesday
The Northwest Ohio Woodworkers Guild will have a demonstration on turning pens and wine stoppers by Jerry
Clink and Clayton Baker at their Tuesday meeting.
The group meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Ag Ed/FFA classroom and shop at Bowling Green High School. All are
welcome.
Sale donation days Mon., Tue., Wed.
The annual Wood County Humane Society Garage sale is Thursday through Sunday under the grandstand at the
Wood County Fairgrounds.
Donations of good and useful items will be accepted at the same location from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday
through Wednesday.
Volunteers are welcome to assist with set-up, organization, pricing and teardown.
The sale is one of the humane society’s larger fundraisers and has realized more than $150,000 for the
care of animals housed in the Minniebelle Conley Shelter, a non-kill shelter on Van Camp road.

Dettmer book signing Sunday
Author Herbert Dettmer, Bowling Green, will hold a book signing Sunday at 1 p.m. at Trinity United
Methodist Church, 200 N. Summit St.
"Others," is a collection of poems, prayers, and verses written by his namesake Staff Sgt.
Herman D. Fish, that Fish wrote and carried with him in combat.
