Justinger signs with Falcons
Miriam Justinger, a senior at Sylvania Northview High School, has signed her national
letter of intent to attend Bowling Green to continue her academic career and
play women’s basketball.
A first-team All-Ohio Division I selection, Justinger joins the Falcons for the
2012-13 academic year.
“We are ecstatic to have Miriam join our program,” said BG head coach Jennifer Roos.
“She is a natural fit for our system and our culture at Bowling Green. Not only
is she a great competitor who will continue to excel on the court, but she is an
outstanding student with high character. I fully anticipate Miriam to make a
positive and immediate impact in our community and with our loyal fan base.”
Justinger, a 6-0 guard/forward, averaged 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists
for the Wildcats this past season. In her junior year, Justinger averaged 16.5
points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game and was a third-team All-Ohio
pick.
Justinger finished her career with 1,109 career points. She recently played in the
Ohio North-South Division I-II All-Star Game and in the Ohio-Indiana Border Wars
All-Star Game.
Justinger originally signed to play at Kent State, but was released from that
commitment when Bob Lindsey was relieved of his coaching duties.
Justinger joins Bailey Cairnduff (Morley, Mich.) in the incoming freshman class for
the Falcons.
