Pro Musica will host the sixth annual Bowling Green Chamber Music Competition on
Saturday and Sunday at Bowling Green State University’s College of Musical Arts.

The preliminary round will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, and the final round at 3 p.m.
on Sunday. All events are in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts
Center.
Judges for the preliminary round are pianist David Gilliland and violist David
Holland , both from the University of Michigan and pianist Frances Renzi from
the University of Toledo. Final round judges will be clarinetist Chad Burrow and
William Lucas, also from U of M and a member of the trumpet section in the
Detroit Symphony, and violinist Merwin Siu from the Toledo Symphony.
Coordinator Douglas Wayland, said the competition “encourages students to explore the
chamber music repertoire and perform with other musicians in an intimate
ensemble, which is very different from the large ensemble or solo performing
experience.”
